We all showed up on the boat last night ready to do some serious fishing for 2 days only to have the trip scrubbed, we never left the dock. As the skipper put it, “we would be wishing instead of fishing”. The conditions are blown out.
Station 46047 - TANNER BANKS – Conditions at 46047 as of (6:50 am PST) 1450 GMT on 11/04/2006: Wind Direction (WDIR): NNW ( 330 deg true ) Wind Speed (WSPD): 17.5 kts Wind Gust (GST): 21.4 kts Wave Height (WVHT): 7.2 ft Dominant Wave Period (DPD): 7 sec Average Period (APD): 6.1 sec Atmospheric Pressure (PRES): 30.02 in Pressure Tendency (PTDY): +0.01 in ( Steady ) Air Temperature (ATMP): 61.5 °F Water Temperature (WTMP): 65.1 °F That’s 20.13 MPH continuous with gusts up to 24.62 MPH for those of you that are not into knots. It was worse last night. On the bright side of this mess I caught 2 bonita off the port side, before the discussion of conditions in the great blue sea. Damn I wanted to go! Bottom fish are bigger! |
