So hit up LNL with my brother and niece today. Got to lake at 520am, 4 people in line. By the time 6am rolled around there were about 20... Got a boat and made it to the flats off the buoy - first line in water at 615am. First bite was at around 630 or so. Was a decent day, but not as active as it usually is on Wed. We had 3 people, 6 poles and ended up with 14 fish, farmed 4. Bite seemed slow actually for a wed, now that I think about it. We took a 15 min break around noon, and stayed on the water until 230pm with 6 poles.... There absolutely fish around, but only a couple of fly fisherman were really killing it. I even heard a float tuber mention he was still skunked at 230 when we were heading back. I think the heat for today might have made the fish lethargic.... We primarily fished micetails, with 8-10 inch leaders. A couple were smaller 1.5 pounders, most were about 2 pounds, and a couple seemed a bit over 3 lbs.... Also 9, 11, and 14 lb fish were weighed in today.... | ||
