UC expanded their rail rod offerings, adding a new model focused at 100# application. There was a gap between Raptors which are best at 60-80# and the Viper which is optimized for 130#/30-35#'s of drag load.

They've also finished production of all models in the US - GUSA series. These are the classics most of us remember from the early 2000's, Monsters, Wahoo, Predator and finally Tilefish production rods. The GUSA group are all dual helix carbon fiber, no 'glass used. Several types of carbon, heavier grade than what other rod firms use, and more of it.
