any opinion on the accurate B2 665W is greatly appreciated. Info pros and cons. Some past experience with the reel. braid and mono usage recommendations; and rigging information is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

I figured after looking at the ATD 12 and the 6 that it (665w) wasn't much smaller (10-15%)than the 12 line capacity and drag surface wise. And much lighter.
I got probably close to 600 yrds of 80 hollow with about 25yrd 80 top.
Figured I could still use it on 2.5 day trips and was good to go on a 5-10.
In fact I am going to get a 870 2pd. and sell my 6652spd. (reg) and keep the 665w and try and buy my 665 single speed back, if that makes any sense. All in all when you get past the Avet JX6/3 reel, Accurates are the only way to go.

I'm coming that way , My fishing hooks say yes / but my wallet says no. It's still J/X ville this go-round.

Hey mnrd55, good info. 665 single, what is it about that reel you like. I purchased mine several years ago and I talked to accurate and they are going to update and upgrade it. I have used it several times, but not in the extreme sense. I run 50 or 65 spectra back and 40 lb top shot. any other suggestions. Thanks

Mine already had the upgrade, and with a 4.1 ratio negated the 665 2 spd. (reg) that I bought.
See my 665w has 2spd. and a butload of spectra (400yd. 80# with 100+yrd 130#)
the 665 single speed fits right between the wide 2 spd. and my 870 2 spd.
So I will be selling my 665 2spd. regular size with a ATD handle. And try to find another single speed 665 and spend the diff on trip expenses.
