Joseph,
Matt at Accurate says that the Twin Spin 30 is being promoted at 35 lb of drag but he states it is actually capable of 45-50 lb of drag. Thats a bunch! Mr. Bill in the post below has the hot ticket. This will do it. http://www.reelcolors.com/reelcolors_011.htm Walt This message has been edited. Last edited by: Walt, |

Reel Colors has a split rod ring that can be attached abover the reel seat. It has two holes in it to attach a harness.

WOW! Great idea. Lot of the new reels are leaving off the lugs these days.
Might start adding those to my sticks, if only for a hook keeper! Fishslayer |

Well its been a while but did we ever figure out how much drag a twinspin 30 is capable of?

Fishslayer: I own and use a pair of Fin Nors Offshore, I use them with GPS lines and can tell you they are great options, performe excelent and are very very strong.
Of course, one of this Fin Nors has nothing to do in comparison with the Twin Drag, but is a cheeaper and reliable option, but they are very very heavy. Drag is excelent and smooth. Haven`t test drag with a scale exactly, but can stop big fish and I've tested with 65 pound GSP and easily can achive more than 50 Lb of drag (the Fin Nor). By the way, is an excelent reel to pitch live mac's to stripes from the boat!!! By the way, I've made an arnes clamp for my rod I use with this big Fin Nor (a Shimano Speedmaster 5' vary very strong) by using a car seat belt and a ring and hs work well, but is very unfonfortable to manage the rod with it. Best regards |
