Does anyone know anything about these reels. I can pick up a mint condition 200G but can't find the drag rating anywhere. Would this reel work for for BFT popping?

Van Staals are primarily a surf reel. That being said, they have caught some of the biggest striped bass on the east coast. They are also bulletproof! The vs400 has a 40 lb max setting, with infinite settings down from there.

My bad-they only make up to the 300 now. Holds 350 yds. of 80 lb. braid-drag should be the same. Good video on using the manual line roller on the site.
