I curently have a Boss 665 wide and though it casts good I think my Diawa saltist casts easer. Would the 665 narrow cast better? What is the best casting reel for Wahoo in a high speed retreve?

Hey Mike,

Not sure what size Saltist your casting - but I have the 665 Narrow Accurate and it seems to cast very well - although I'm a Newell guy on most of my jig sticks and some hoo set-ups.

If you like the Diawa and are in the Accurate price range the Saliga is certainly worth a look.

Hope you well - have a Merry Christmas - hopefully I'll catch up with you next year on the Rooster.

I agree with reelveal Daiwa Saltiga is a great casting reel. I have have the full series of Saltiga's and I love them. From the 15, 20 30 30T, 40 and 50. Daiwa has some of the best free spool on heavy salt water reels. Avet, Newell and others are also great.
