I bought a Newell G229-F and i want to overhaul the reel , i am asking for links to articles and parts links. Is there an overhaul kit? thanks ....

Unless the bearings are shot about all you really need to do is clean, lube and toss in a set of either HT-100 drag washers or Smoothies (Penn 500 size) and you are good to go for another 10,000 fish.

I install my drags "Wet" with grease, I loose a little off the top end but it sure smooths out the function of the drag overall.
