Hey guys,
The wife just bought me a TRQ200 for My birthday! Yes, I've trained her well (I hope she does'nt read this!). From previous posts this sounds like a very versatile reel.Lets see if I've got this right (or close anyway). Sounds like it will make a good 40# class reel(?).
Good for casting iron or yo yo jigging and
how bout fly-lining a bait?
Understanding, of course, different rods for the different situations.
Has anyone done any butterfly jigging with this reel? Usually vertical jigging with a reel with a gear ratio this fast gets pretty tiring but it sounds like its very powerful despite the high gear ratio. Any input or experiences with this reel would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Thanks for the response louie. From what I've read on previous posts, you too, are a fan of Penn reels. IMHO a guy can't go wrong with Penn reels. I now own three and soon to be four with an addition of a 113HN to my collection. Here I just get one and I'm already looking to the next! Is there a cure or even a name for this disease? Any other responses regarding the TRQ200 would be appreciated.

One thing to make sure of if you will be flylining small baits or casting with "light" surface iron will be to de-grease the bearings and add your favorite speed-oil product.
Of course when using using very light lubrication, it is imperative that you check often to make sure things haven't run dry.
If you will be casting larger baits or "heavy" jigs and yo-yo iron, it's not a big deal.
