Just heard that a lot of local boats are coming out against circle hooks. What gives?

Agate: Most people cannot properly pin a bait o a circle hook (including me). So the captains and crews are leaning toward regular bait hooks (j hooks) so the bait will swim and live longer. And the suggestion is to "not swing" when a person gets bit. The hook will move to the corner of the mouth like a circle. And believe it or not, it works. Landed a 275# Yellowfin and several smaller models this way. And ALL hooked in the corner of the mouth. The only bad part about it all is, I really miss the "Big Swing!!!"

Maybe a couple of afternoons fishing largemouth bass and "Crossing their eyes!" Might help!
