What dou you guys usually toss to the wahoo and what colors are the go to's while on long range trips.

Should one expect to see any of these speed demons while on a 5 day trip.

it is known once in a while a school of wahoo do show up at the lupe.
i seen and heard it happens around july/augt.

this year , i have not heard nothing yet.
all the 7-8-10 dayers are in with the hoo,s .

What size rod do you guys fish the 'hoo with. i know some guys dont like too long of a rod cuz it can put the hurt on them, but i know u can get out further with a jigstik.

IMO a jig stick is fine for Hoo's, they make a supper fast run right off the bat but give up the ghoast fast and you can crank them in. On the other hand tuna and big tails can put the hurt on you with a jig stick. But for me fishing isn't fun without a little pain...lol

I agree. the juice has to worth the squeze. I wanna feel like a earned my catch and no like it was handed to me.

What pound test do you run for the wahoo.I put 50 pound on my avet jx and am hoping to buy a 800h for it to go on. would this be good enough?
