Hi ALL,
If I splice 100 meters of 60lbs solid upfront and use 300 meters of 60lbs hollow at the back will that increase my casting distance? I was thinking the solid is not at as “flat” and will not affect by the wind when casting? Wrong thinking? Thoughts?

I don't think it matters. Frankly, the greatest area of casting benefit comes from practice, right rod action, not the line. Doubt one can tell difference between solid and hollow visually, or by a cast ("flat" under pressure, not without), that's my opinion.
