Just purchased the new Shimano Tranx Baitcast reel TRX500Hg loading it with 80lb Power Pro and putting it on a new Hercules 7' 2012 rod, Just wondering if I made a mistake? | ||

Seeker's Hercules is a very good series of rods, with several models. Curious about which model you selected? On the reel, well I'm not a shimano supporter, but I wish you years of good fishing with the piece...and hope you give Avet, the new Penn reels (we'll post information from ICAST about their new pieces next week) and Okuma Makaira and Andros reels a good look next time you are enhancing your arsenal.
