Anyone using it? The good and the bad.
Have a vid on knot and testing on our YouTube channel. Good knot, like it for 40# down, though personal preference is still bumini to reverse Albright.
Thanks. And for all the cool stuff that comes in those UPS boxes.
Chark -- Is a reverse Albright a stronger knot that th RP knot?
I trust the reverse albright and use it for braid to long mono topshots. I was looking at the rp knot for vertical jigging
8 ft leaders. Reverse albright is a little bulky for that. The reverse albright is about as 100% as any knot I use.
I like the RP knot for lighter tests, here the guys have the green light to rig that way up to 40#, above that only the bimini to albright. That's still what we do the majority of the time (pretty much for all we ship unless specifically asked to do the RP). My confidence level drops for higher tests and drag settings, based upon the testing I did here. No knock, and probably the knot will work just fine for folks, but I've got no doubt about the B/A routine and as a consequence that's what staff has the green light to do.
