A Calstar clearance? Are you going to continue to carry the brand?

Just curious. Huntington Beach is a bit far from Long Island, N.Y. for a quick drive over to browse.

Can't really carry something we can't get reliably from mnfg, that's the reason to take the line off our site and clear the racks at our shops. UC is coming out with another series of rods, the GUSA series to compliment the Challenger Elite and Challenger Platinums in addition their rail rods and Inshore Finatic series. In the future, with new ownership, we'd be interested in stocking the rods again - but that's not predictable given what we saw happen at Seeker when they sold, production changed dramatically and they no longer made their own rods. So, future with Calstar fuzzy, with UC it's quite clearly moving forward.

Great Stuff!

A pity, but transitions from the original founder to a new owner, or even within the family, are always high-risk occasions. Seeker, Calstar, Newell ... (sigh)

Yup, any business that experiences this type of transition may very well be at high risk.

Any chance the United Composites will be discounted for the holidays? Just picked up a rainshadow on sale a month ago.

If you have a Captains Card with us you have an automatic 10% savings. Other than that it’s doubtful, but we’ll see. Of course we do have price protection for 30 days of purchase. So if you pull the trigger and we do end up having a promotion you’ll receive the same benefit under the same conditions of sale.

Great Stuff!
