Unless you have a challenge in using your thumb, I cant see why anybody would consider a spinning reel.

If your thumb has a problem, get an Avet with the mag. cast control.

To get a good response, more details would be helpful.
Where do you fish, what species do you pursue, what kind/size jigs, and what type/test line you prefer.

There are reasons to own both types of reels. As to which one to own, get both. Easy for me to say since I own this place... But, it depends on what you are doing, where, how... More details/information on how you're using the rigs would help to form a better answer.
