The supply chain issues are still impacting fishing tackle, as well as all other sectors of the economy. Given the foreign based manufacturing was challenged, our USA manufactured products were in even greater demand. WHile the big multi-national firms like Daiwa, Okuma, bike maker, Penn's china produced products had supply shortages, the result was even greater pressure being placed on our domestic producers: Avet, Accurate and Seigler. These firms stepped up their efforts, but they only have so much capacity. It is our expectation that supply will remain a challenge thru 2022. Best suggesting is to order EARLY and not to expect everything to be available all the time.
A reminder to our clients, we DO NOT BILL or finalize an online order until we confirm stock. If an item is short supply and can't be filled immediately we ALWAYS send back an email asking for client direction prior to any billing.
Last one, United Composites, demand is greater than supply. THey have faced some supply shortages, as example the carbon material used for RPG series rods was not available from Sept-Jan. Consequently, no rods in that series could be produced. They are now moving forward. Point is, supply chain issues are real. Plan ahead and all will be fine, expect everything to be immediately available and be prepared for disappointment. This is our current reality.
