Last August I was doing some research for my first LR trip (didn't work out). I became confused when I asked if the boat's chef would cook the fish I had caught that day for dinner. One boat told me they would, but another said it was illegal to do so in mexican waters. What's the deal?

Trapt,

It is illegal to cut or fillet any fish in Mexican waters per their fishing regs. So im not surprised that they said they wouldn't. I have also eaten fresh fish many times on Long Range boats that i caught. Know what I mean.
