No problem Jody . Good jigs for lincod would be the Squirm worm in white, glow or the orange colors in the 6 to 10 oz sizes as well as the good old Pline or Bead chrome daimond jigs in sizes from 8 to 14oz and if the current is ripping the 16 oz. Add a small rockfish fillet strip to the daimond jig and drop it down. The leadmaster 8,10 and 12oz leadheads with a 6" jigger bone grub tail on them work killer too. Same colors for the jigger bone grub tail as for the squirm worm. If your fishing shallow for lings you can also use a 2oz leahead with the larger 6.5 to 9" swimbait tails. If you want to fish baits to target the big lings try a big 14 to 20" octopus, 9 to 12" green mackeral or a sand dab fished on a dropper loop made of 50 to 60# mono or flouro to 65 or 80 braid and hold on . Trying to pick lures or jigs for halibut is a little tougher. Personaly along shallow beachs or kelps edges I'd fish a 5 or 6.5" swimbait in white, chart, or smelt/grunion colors on a 1 to 1 1/2 oz head. If fishing around squid nets a 3,4 or 6oz white or white and glow bucktail tipped with a whole squid and fished a crank or two off the bottom. Actualy thats how I've caught my last four nice halibut.
