Mark, I purchased an okuma cedros csd10s from you last summer I see you no longer carry them ...Any issues with them mechanically ? Or do you just not carry them anymore. I've grown very fond of this reel I hold it in high regards right up there with my six avet's...Steve

No issues with the reels, wonderful pieces. Okuma simply discontinued the star drags unfortunately. Solid reels in all respects, but rate of sale below Okuma's goals. They are quick to come out with gear and just as quick to discontinue something if it did not achieve targeted sales numbers. In the case of the star drag Cedros reels sales were good but not as fast moving as their leverdrags. Not sure if we'll see a replacement this year. Thankfully we do have some new star drags in our stable, ProGear & Release. There are reasons to have both star and leverdrags in ones arsenal. And, the Cedros reels were darn good pieces.

Also purchased a Cedros 10S from the Charkster last year and was very disappointed to see them discontinued. An excellent all around reel for So Cal bait, irons vertical jigging. At the
Fred Hall show I asked some very pointed questions for the Okuma guys at their booth. Had two of them tell me that there is a replacement in the works for the Cedros but most likely will
be introduced at this years ICAST show. That is all they would tell me as they were very tight lipped regarding any intel for the new reel. So we will have to wait for the goodies as I am sure the Charkster will divulge all the details when he returns from ICAST 2016.

Was anxious to try out the Sunline Fluoro I bought at Charkbait. Very Very pleased with it. IT is clear, knots well and is tough as nails. It's my new fluoro leader material of choice.

ProGear reels are made in Taiwan. I don't know the warranty.

Yep, Taiwan country of manufacture, 1 year warranty. The Cedros reels came from Okuma's factory in China while their Makaira reels are also made in Taiwan.
