Just saw a report of a wahoo off Balboa. Looks lika a good season!

Now that the word is out about this, there's a good chance that more will be caught because anglers will start putting out Rapalas and Marauders on wire.
Equally amazing but far less spectacular were the catch last week of a tripletail in San Diego bay, and a rainbow chub off Dana Point.
those species have also never been seen in CA waters.
Bring on a roosterfish next!

The guys at the shop have been hearing from folks who are getting their marlin jigs cleanly sliced off, sometimes multiple lures. Those ain't makos doing that... Better break out the 49 strand cable.
