I ordered an red Avet LX 2 speed rigged wit spectra backing and topshot on Monday and will have it my hands here on the Right Coast on Thursday! The best part is that Beth called me on my way home from work and she was the highlight of my entire day.
It doesn't get any better..well..maybe when I order the red Hoo X or the Accurate 665 2 speed I will keep Beth on the phone a bit longer..yeah!
I used that shiny new RED Avet reel on Sunday and WOW! You should have received my order for a GOLD Avet LX 2 speed earlier today. I... can't... seem to... stop... buying....equipment....help....me, oh by the way are the Hoo X's due in soon? I WANT ONE.
Charkbait takes a the majority of my fishing gear budget but they don't stock everything that I "need" so I occasionally I'll wander. I like dealing with everyone at Charkbait and will continue to be a customer and friend but.....I send lots of business their way so I feel if I link to another source it evens out. I still "prefer" dealing with Mark and his crew and I'm vocal about it.
BTW, It is kind of tacky to post links to Charkbaits direct competition on the Charkboard. Some boards just make things "go away".
Aside from the great prices, great selection, and sweet weekly specials, the biggest reason I like dealing with Charkbait is because everyone I have dealt with has always done exactly what they told me they would do. Now that may sound very simple, and in principle, it is, however, it is amazing how rare it is now-a-days. So, to all at Charkbait, THANK YOU!
I always buy my reels from Charkbait because of the good price, selection and the free or almost free spectra backing. I hate winding my own spectra. The only problem I have encountered is a reel upgrade from Baker. Baker often takes a long time. 6 months in my case. Not the Charkbait staff's fault and the were very apologetic about Bakers slow servce.
The prices are awesome and the selection gets better every day! As I said before there are many other options here in New England but the honesty and integrity of the entire Charkbait team is second to none! They have won my business completely as I am about to purchase my 3rd Avet reel this year. A Hoo X!!!!!!!!!!!
