While cruising the O.C. this last weekend I noticed my engine oil was low, no big deal, so I added a quart. I got home and out of suspicious curiousity, I checked it again to find it another quart low, not good! Sixty mile ride is no reason for that, no leaks, uh oh!! Big sigh, ok, call chevy and get crate engine prices, call mechanic, good to go, pick up the crate and back next morning to the shop. My my, today they have the radiator out and sent that off for a much needed overhaul, should be next week before all is said and done. Then I will be ready to haul bait and tackle!!!
Sea Ya! Danny.

Good luck bro. I've got problems too, but not due to engines or oil. The past month + has been super busy and my boat suffered from neglect. When visiting last weekend I discovered something even worse than burning oil. Wood chips, carpet eaten, wood eaten...and rat turds. Yep, a neighbor on our dock had been keeping a bag of dogfood on their deck for some time. Management got him to get rid of the dogfood, but apparently the rats needed a new home. The last guy visiting my boat to do a little maintenance left the door open just a tab...a big enough tab to allow a hungry intruder room to slip in a eat my boat from the inside out. So, I have a new project to accomplish myself.... That's what I get for not visiting the boat each week and fishing more often. But, a new wife demands a bit of attention too!

Great Stuff!

AAAArrgghh, Bilge Rats!!! I am sorry to hear that. I did however retrieve the dutiful chevy from the local garage. They found a cracked intake manifold and a bad header donut besides the usual assortment of gaskets and hoses to go with the new long block 350. I picked up the truck on monday afternoon, whoooweee is that engine tight! A big thank$$ to Rose Auto Clinic for the great work! Best of luck with the boat Mark. Inbetween our 5-day and school if I can help, just holler. On any sunday, have truck will travel!
