OK a lot of you know me and know how much I like the salt fishing, well I guess those days are over as I'm moving back to the Ozarks. Cassville Mo just up a little from Table Rock lake.
Met a gal and am going to marry her and spend the rest of the days killin crappie and bass rather than stuff like this 55 pounder I took on 30# last fall. I'll post pics of the "Bait" I catch back there. LOL

A little 4# test some mini jigs and a nice ultra lite rig
and you will ready to rumble.
Crappie fishing is a ton of fun. And do not
over look the Walleye and Striped Bass
fishing in the area. There are some bonified
"HOG" Stripers swimming around in those waters.
30 to 40 pounders are not uncommon. So don't sell
your 20 and 30 lb rigs just yet you may need them.
Best of luck on your new adventure.

Walt

Congratulations, and I hope the move is a good one for you. But, don't sell off all the saltwater gear yet. There's darn good fishing off the Texas coast and the SD long range trips are still an option, if the little lady is fine with kicking your tail out of the house once in a while.

Great Stuff!

Ah, Missouri, home of those two 'grande dames' of freshwater fishing, Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops (so much junk, so little time)! Have fun Jan!!

Giving up Saltwater fishing for the love of a good woman - can't blame you for that. Have enjoyed your post. The Ozarks is a cool place, you can fish all over. I love slab crappie fillets!

DON'T QUIT! Brother...I moved right across the State from you into Cape Girardeau, MO years ago and I STILL go long range fishing and STILL bass and crappie fish.

Trust me...if you sell your L.R.Gear, you'll wind up resenting her and yourself. Keep the Gear....hell, I am booked on the Intrepid for 15 days May 1st, 2013 and if you want in, it's $4895.00 and I ALWAYS drive R/T we can car pool to save money on flights and baggage fees.
