I bought this rod about a year ago. The front grip is placed to far away from the reel seat. I took another look at the advertizment and the reel seat is supose to be adjustable. Well thats a lie the seat on my rod is not adjustable and set to far back from the front grip. This makes the rod hard to reel in. If they had given me what they advertized I wouldn't be haveing the problem that I have.
The adjustment is possible ONLY on the spinning version, can't be accomplished on the conventional style version of the Surf Explorer. The video for the rods covered the difference between conventional and spinning versions. For the conventional rods, a trigger grip is included and can not be adjusted. That's stated in the product description, but your comments indicate we did not do a good enough job bringing that point up more clearly - that I'll certainly do. The adjustment feature is a good one, we also wish it could be accomplished with the conventional version rod, but simply can not be done. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Chark,
