That is so tragic. Carl busted his butt to make such a fantastic reel, CO. and name for himself, only to see his life's work ruined in his death.

Bummer - fished Newells on and off for 20 years, seems I always go back to them for the lightness and ease of casting. Keeping what I got, all I ever have to do is change drags.

It's been a major problem getting going for the new owner of Newell. We'll see how this ends up. We spent over a year being hopefull, another one being frustrated. Maybe luck will change and we'll be surprised...? Even if the new owner goes south, the firm is well worth someone picking up. Don't want to see 'em go away!
