A neighbor that was bringing his boat back from Cabo said he witnessed breaking fish in the same "zone" - did not have the time or patience to dedicate any trolling - but it's getting interesting...

Bluefin landed already. Albies spotted at the day and a half range. It is sounding like another banner season is shaping up.

I am available to be " Boat Bitch " for passage on a trip. That would include Rod caddy, line winder, tackle cleaner, dish washer, laundry attendant, room service, baiter-non master, and rod breaker downer.
Nothing in the Ben Dover category though.
Trips of 5 days and longer are preferred. I am cheap and fish well.

If you guys can cath them on the troll out here in the west please let me know how. 26 years of fishing salt and have never seen them eat a trolled feather or trolled jig. I do a three day trip every year in August for like 22 years straight that targets blue fin if any are around and have caught my share of them but never see or herd of any on the troll. We find them on albie stops that turn into blue fin, meter marks or breaking fish. I have caught them on the iron and bait never trolling. So whats up?

I've seen the bluefin bite jigs - but it was actually marlin jigs. Actually seen them bite the iron as well - all private boat fishing.

Agreed that they respond much better on the fin bait in the chum line on the slide for the party boat fleet...

Where were you fishing? Out here on the left coast marlin and blue fin arn't in the same waters at the same time too much of a water temp differance.
