I bought myself a couple of new rods and some reels (Avets and a Daiwa) to add to my ever expanding arsenal. My wife refuses to buy me any more tackle as she thinks I already have WAY too much, which I do, but I just love getting new gear to mess with and compare. Great fishing in 2008!
Well, the wifey is on her seventh month of pregnancy now so this Christmas she got me/I got her a baby bed and changing table. But, Santa was kind enough to leave me with an Avet HX narrow...
Had a great Christ-Mas, Wonderful Wife got me an Electric Smoker which I can't wait to use. Got 50 lbs of Tuna, YT and Whits Sea Bass in the freezer just waiting for me to screw it up LOL!! And a pair of thoes fancy needle nose pliers from the Charkster, a Shakespear knock off the Gold Plated Accurate units. A vary nice tool and the side cutters cut Spectra nice and cleanly. Smooth operating, nice finish and a durable holster. Would highly reccomend them. An excellent value. She also got me one of thoes round magnifier lights on and articulating arm to use on my rod wrapping bench. The thing is a must have if you are old like me with retarded vision. It takes a lot of the stress out of performing a precision task.
Over all a great day, my whole family came over, 2 sons + wives , 1 grand daughter and one Mother in Law. I made Ravoli from an old family recipe, my mom is from Sicily, they are the size of the palm of your hand and an inch thick. Also mixed up a batch of home made Cinnamon Ice Cream for desert.
Santa was good to me this year, no lumps of coal. Parents gave a charkbait gift card which I promptly order a sx 2speed. Wife gave cash for a hxj, come on mark-hurry up an ship the damn thing!
