Just got back from the 4 day Red Rooster 3 trip and had the time of my life. Perfect weather, calm seas, a great group of guys and a fantastic boat. And the fishing was nothing short of incredible; limited out on yellowfin before noon on the first day (as well as bluefin mixed in), then limited on big yellowtail by 2:00 the second day! By day three we were looking for dorado on kelp paddies and releasing more tuna on the way home. Truly the trip of a lifetime.

It was a GREAT TRIP!!! I'm working on a video and images from the trip now, will have posted on the site later today. Great bunch of guys on the trip, from first timers to very experienced old salts. Wonderful fishing!!!

Great video! But the background music may say more about Mark than he wants to admit...

Aw shucks AK, gotta love dem Zappa riffs. Poodle Bites, Come on Frenchy, Poodle Chews IT!
You just don't get lyrics like that these days... One of the most tender love songs of the 70's! I admit my fondness for Zappa. Darn good guitar work and concerts too! And more than a few of the wonderful guys on that trip seemed to fit into the same mode and timeframe. One of the guys brougt along a Sirus (sp) radio so we had some dandy music on deck during the fishing. Really added a bit of fun, and the era of the tunes played aboard the boat was consistent with the video, just not quite as skewed to the perversely humorous.

Yep, Zappa was one of the truly greats. And his album Overnight Sensation is fantastic. As is 200 Motels. And the rest. Maybe use Dynamo Humm for the next video?

200 Motels! Ah, brings back memories of drive-in theaters and my old high school sweetheart who never quite understood the movie...then again she didn't spend too much time watching it, but I did.

- Dynamo Humm, either that or perhaps that wonderful little Cyborg ditty from Joe's Garage.

Great Stuff!
