Welcome to the new CharkBoards! It's been long overdue that we update the boards. I finally had a little time available to move this project forwards. We're still in a bit of a refining/learning mode. But, I think you'll like the additional features the new board allows. You can now easily add pictures, even make a slide show presentation using the new script.

We will be ending the old board's functionality, but we'll leave the posts up as reference since there were so many excellent bits of information folks contributed.

In order to view images you'll need to be a registered user of the site...sorry for any inconvenience.

Like I said, we'll be fine tuning the board over the course of the next few weeks. So, don't get frustrated, just let me know what you'd like to see improved.

How do I get int the archived stuff?
By the way I like the dark green. It ads to a better environment on line. not the borring old black and white. Good choice.

I like it! just too many hoops to jump through to register. (since I'm now back in school working on a teaching credential I'm getting tired of jumping through hoops<G>

Reel_Salty, the old board is still up. Just click that link on the main index page below the link to the new board and you'll be able to scan/search the old info.

JG, sorry for the re-register process. Unfortunately I could not simply transfer the old board's database. This board is "related" to the old board by way of developer, but it's a few generations different. Glad you went through the hassle of re-registering. On the plus side you can do a lot more things with the new system and there are some other benefits since you would not need to re-register for any other "eve" community board. With the new board image posting is much easier, we have much more storage space to work with, you can share those photos with anyone (once I change a few "permissions"), there is a "chat" and private messaging capability..... Lots of enhancements, that should make the board much more fun over time.

Boy... this is gonna take some gettin' used to!

Glad to see a PM function. I've seen a lotta people post their addy & phone #. That's just somethin' I'm not comfortable with.

Yep, you can use your own avatar if it's available elsewhere on the internet or upload a new one of your choosing (if I've got everything configured right...). Kharma points can be awarded for posts. I still haven't figured out how to grant Captain/Deckhand/Pinhead status, but I'm working on it.

Cool. Will kind of miss the old board, me the cantankerous luddite. I kind of dig the view-counter though; always had the feeling that a lot of folks were on the old board without speaking up.
