I'm having a hard time believing my neighbor that told me that it is DFG legal to deter seals away from your boat while fishing with a slingshot - using marbles - not legal to shoot lead.

Can anyone confirm any truth to this?

Although it's not as efective as 55 or 100 grains of lead a frozen paint ball lets them know they are not loved.

Up here in Oregon they might let us do some "removal" of problem sealions that chase endangered runs of salmon into the fishpass at Bonneville Dam.

Unfortun ately....it's true. No one may harm, molest(yuk), taunt, or disturb in any way, seals in Ca.

That's why the boaters in MOnterey and Morrow Bay, are loosing their own boats, to these disgusting pieces of blubber. In fact, people up north have been arrested and prosecuted, for beating the seals to get them off their boats.

They aren't allowed to do ANYTHING if the seals take up residence on their boats. That's no shit!

I remember the good old days when people could shoot em. Now, an animal may take over your possesions. God love PETA?
