Well, I'm back from La Paz and I had the best time! Went down to fish with Jonathan Roldan's Cabin Classic. I just fished 2 days because I needed some time to tan and read.

The first day was tough. The jackpot fish was 6lbs and change. I managed to land countless pelicans but really nothing else. But it was still wonderful being out on the water again.

The next day I did the unspeakable. I slept through my wake up call. I got so lucky that some other guys had paid their captain to get bait and meet them at the beach at 8. So I bummed a ride with them.

I was the last on the water and the last to get bait. I immediately started nailing Sierra, I was on immediately. We ran out of wire after I landed about 10 so we went to the pargo grounds.

I swear! I love fishing pargo. I was hooked up almost steadily. Landed 3, 1-17 lbs, 1-15 lbs and we didn't weigh the third. I was the only boat who was landing them at that time, so that was kind of fun!

Then at the end of the day, we were almost out of dines and so we went in to the cove at Las Arenas for some rooster fish. I caught the cutest little one!! It was a photo op only. I released it.

When we got back, people were weighing in for jack pot. The winner was 8 lbs and change. Unfortunatly, I didn't put in any money, but I sure got bragging rights!

I had the best time and wish I was still there. Oh well, back to work I go. Gotta pay for my next trip!

I'll take the pics to work so Mark can post them for me. Apparently my files are to big and I can't get them up.

Walt, I love your avatars. I totally giggled when I heard the Jackpot weight! But the winner was VERY cool. He gave the entire thing to the bar and we all got to drink on it!
