You'll love the Gun. They are a fish catching machine.

Great crew, food and service.

kite fishin is usally by your no# , so if your no# 25 on the boat, you have 25 people ahead of you, boat provides kit rig, unless you wanna use yours, its a 50 reel with a xxh or so with a 100lb mono. you can rig your own bait rig , if you want. any other question , give us a holler.

SD - when you do get bit - turn the handle as fast as you can and get tight on the fish and make sure to put a BEND THE ROD - less chance of dumping the fish and better chance of a capture that hits the deck.

Don't worry the deckhands will be yelling the same advice as you...

somtimes the night fishin is better grades of fish, so keep an eye out , or if your asleep and you hear loud thumping on deck, wake the heck up and run to your rod. Big Grin

Nite fishing can be a blast on the anchor. Get some of those large white glow in the dark jigs and no less than 80 pound line. Drop down and see see what's down there. Be careful, let the nite watch crewmember you are out there. Go with a buddy, and don't get yanked overboard--keep a folding knife clipped to your side for emergency cut off if you have to.

OB,

I have a gerber folding blade on my fly fishing vest JIC I fall in a fast flowing trout river here in the Rocky Mountains. I should get one of those inflatable suspender strap vest but as of yet I am staying dry. The more mature I get...means older in age the less surefoot I become and a wading staff and a vest should be SOP.

Thanks for te thoughts
