Could you please give me an idea of how much lead time to obtain the above rods?..
The two cork handle rods will be replacing a pair of United Composites I bought from you earlier this year. (RCE 700XL/RCE 700M)
I found that the rear grip on the UC rods are too short for me at 12", while the Cal Stars are at 14" and much more castable.

Thank you

From Calstar, the 700XL no problem, same for the L on the 760, that won't happen from Calstar. That rod would have to be custom built - meaning not built by Calstar. They have a huge problem supplying rods these days, but we've been in pretty good shape except for basic 700M, MH, H heavier rods in both 700 and 800 form are not coming off the line. Add to that they are no longer building anything other than what they have on their product list - no custom stuff being done by the factory any longer.

Great Stuff!

If I understand this right....

The GFGR 700XL CORK and GFGR 700L CORK
are good to go for ordering?....

Nix on the GFGR 760 L even though it's listed on the CalStar lineup?

760L fine, but no cork option. All others you mention are within what Calstar should be able to accomplish, and are usually in stock.

And on the grip length, very subjective. For me, the rear grip length isn't any issue whatsoever for casting, however I like a longer front grip on the rods for leverage and pulling.

Does this include blanks, or just finished rods?

I am sorry Mr Chark....I should have said "in stock" on those rods mentioned.

Who ever the nice young man is that answered my phone call this morning (Jan 7th) told me no 760L in stock and no 700XL or L in stock.

So in all my due attempts to increase your cash flow, I did order a GFGR765M that this nice young man had in his hands and would ship it out today.

I am still interested in obtaining a 700XL CORK and a 700L CORK, if and when they become available to you for ordering.

Good morning, Not sure who you spoke to but I think they may have thought you where looking for a deckhand style cork tape rod as we do have 2 Calstar GFGR 700L's with the cork fore grip and rear grip in stock. No 700XL though. That we can order if you have the time.

Sorry for the confusion,
Beta
