Ordered some stuff from you on May 21st, 2007 and it's just being delivered today, June 6th (according to UPS)
3 weeks is too long Chark.....what do you think? And the delivery address is only 100 miles south of you!!!!! Received an email from a Leeanna on May 25th saying a UPS tracking number would be sent to me once the shipment was in the UPS "system" No email from Leeanna!!! So I emailed her directly on June 4th, asking about if the items have been shipped... NO response I email again this morning June 6th.....yep....no response. Finally I called (long distance international by the way)and got the announcement that it was out for delivery today. 3 days to pick the merchandise and get it ready for shipment?....just some line and lures.....too long Chark!! Granted, there was the Memorial holiday weekend involved but in any case, someone dropped the ball here on this order. Thought you might like to know....no malice intended. |

WOW! I have never, ever, had a problem with " Charks " order filling crew.
Many planets are WAY out of alignment. Trust me. Marks reputation is nothing short of stellar and he will make good on your order. He is a tremendous business man. I suggest you call MARK personally to get at the heart of this. |

Maybe there were some things out of stock????? and maybe the one you were emailing was not at work. If any problems just call and talk to tom or mark.

Chark's rep is solid. Ordered 2 Avets, hooks, an Accurate, and I just ordered two more Accurates and a Seeker today. I did not get through the first time (on the phone) and it took a while to check stock and get a return call. I have my invoice, but have not recieved the confirmation of stocked items (under staffed?). I am not worried though. I am sure Chark will come through. Things do happen, but Chark has a great operation going.

No problem on Chark coming through....I am sure he will. In fact, the order was delivered today, June 6th. My only gripe is this: Order placed on May 21. Delivered June 6th. IMO.....3 weeks from order to delivery is not within the acceptable time frame to process internet orders. I am sure the Chark would agree. |

How about this???? I screwed up by being "STUPID CHEAP" I ordered Owner Hooks for NEXT TO NOTHING online at e-bay from an AMERICAN in the orient. Paypal paid this moron INSTANTLY...30 days later. Nothing. Nada. Kapoot! This idiot wouldn't call, return e-mails, nothing. Only after I put U.S. Banking authorities onto him, did he send my hooks, then refunded my money all 7 weeks after I placed and won the bid. Then he had the stones to ask me to re-pay for the hooks. NOPE! 3 weeks for an order, that you received, I assume in full? is really a logical standing with regards to dealing with back orders and the U.P.S. Once again, this is very rare with the " Chark " |

Hi Marcortez, you are absolutely RIGHT! My shipping guy is WAY to linear in his approach to packing/shipping orders. His organization is good, but instead of zapping out the quick ones first he moves order by order in the sequence received. Then when we get a crash and burn rush, 3 day, 1 day... he'll get bogged down and fall behind on the other orders. In all honesty, the move to the new warehouse and having stock split between two locations has also slowed things beyond what they should be.
I recognized the shortcomings a couple weeks ago, and we've made some moves to improve. First off, we've added another person in shipping and another man to pull orders (Mark and Jason). So, we'll have three people involved with packing, pulling and shipping orders instead of one. Leeana is another new hire, and will be VERY good. One of her rolls is communication on orders, and this will also improve, but she's been in the training mode this month. We've also moved to a point-of-sale scanning system at the shop. That's put a burden on Beth to input about 15000 sku's and bar-codes, so Leeana hasn't been in a position to do as good a job communicating as will be the case in about a week's time when Beth can assist more. Lastly, instead of having the warehouse working Monday thru Friday with a couple days off we'll shift to SEVEN DAYS ON. Yep, the warehouse will be staffed everyday, but Saturdays and Sundays the folks will be working to fill orders rather than be on the phones talking product. That's what the store guys can do better anyway, and the way phone calls are directed from our website. Bottom line, I agree with you entirely, 3 days to pull and pack an order is way too long, and we've had several that have taken longer than that! We've added staff, and will add more as necessary and/or re-apply the staff we have to get the job done properly. We will do a better job, and we'll put all resouces into play to accomplish what needs to be done. Thanks for the feedback, Mark |

i was one of those who wanted a quick shipment, and paid for 3 day express shipping. its due here tommorrow, which would be exactly 3 days +1 after i ordered which is exactly what i expected, as i called later in the day, and they shipped the next day.
i think their service is stellar, and ill definitely be a repeat customer, plus spreading the word! |

It's not like the good ole days when you threw papers for a whole summer just to save for some doodad or wutzits. Then sent a money order with a torn and worn newspaper or magazine clipping by regular mail only to wait for 6 to 8 weeks for processing, shipping and handling, only to get your chromed piece of plastic junk and have it break, lost or stolen in the first week of ownership.

"Chark" is a man of his word and I am certain had you called him or emailed him directly after 7 days or so he would have explained the change over to the wharehouse excetra... I live over a 1000 miles from the shop but in three clicks I can be in the shop. getting the best prices and service on the internet bsr none. Like pigsticker i to have bought goods through ebay and after it was all said and done was no better off than paying a great price to Charkbait for brand new gear. If you are in Mexico and have to call internationally get a calling card or just email as soon as you feel that enough time has elasped between order and confirmation. In my ten years every order has not been perfect but the ones that go array Chark is a stand up guy and has always taken care of me once we discuss the issue. Glad you are a customer. SDTuna - |
