This is my first post so I hope I am putting this in the correct forum. I was considering a 2.5 day trip aboard the Holiday this year. Not being from the area I would like to get as much information about this boat from those who have fished it. If you haven't but have an opinion, please tell. Any input is greatly appreciated. Have you considered the Searcher, Vagabond, Grande? Those boats, especially Vagabond with owner skipper Mike Lackey are much more well known as top flight local short rangers. The Holiday, the New Lo Ann, and others are much more local overnight boats---basically 30-40 year old boats with tight quarters. How about shower facilites? 2 1/5 days can get pretty stinky. Mike Lackey run a tight ship and his Vagabond has an almost cult following for his skills in putting you on fish as well as great crews. Early spring/summer has most of the even larger LR boats doing short trips. Have you considered American Angler? Royal Star, Royal Supreme? They all do short trips but they are much larger and have nice showers, wonderful galleys, HUGE plasma screen DVD screens, just room to stretch and relax and or clean up after a day and have some great food.

Also try the Legend. http://www.legend-sportfishing.com/ They also run 2.5 day trips. They do have showers. As far as the Vagabond.......awesome reputation. A can't go wrong vessel.
