I want to pick up some new gear from Charkbait but I have a few questions and am open to recommendations. The only problem is I am currently pretty far from home and calling the shop and e-mailing via Outlook is going to be an issue for a little while. Is there an alternate e-mail address? I tried to send one of the staff a PM via the forum but I do not have the permissions. I plan on submitting an order soon so that it is waiting at the house when I get home.
How about SKYPE? Hmmm, no email, no phone service...mental telepathy? I'll tell you what, I'll just have some gear waiting for you at one of our shops! Easy enough.
Sorry for my early morning humor. I'm at ICAST now, it's the largest fishing trade show in the world so I'm a kid in a candy store. Show starts today. I'm out of the office now, so my regular SKYPE address isn't really an option until I get back to California on Friday. I can try to work with you via this message board or my alternate SKYPE address (CHARKBAIT-1). I'm not going to be available 24/7 since I'll be at the show, but early and late this one's on and available.
Humor is always good I am in the Army and am deployed so the computers they let us use for anything other than work have outlook disabled. I usually have access to a phone but for about another week I don't. I am looking for a small to mid sized conventional as well as 2 rods. I narrowed everything down to a few but just need a little help deciding the best way to go. Just when I think I found the one I want I read a write up on your website and think no I will get this one. I am looking at 1 spinning rod and 1 for the conventional, either the Seeker Stealth or the Okuma Makaira Abalone about 7ft. The conventional reels I am looking at are the Okuma Cedros and Makaira models or the Fin Nor Marquesa. I know there is a price gap between them but I also understand that you get what you pay for. I will be fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and use the reel at first for trolling King Fish on both a Kayak and boat. I would like to get a reel that if need be I could put heavier line on and bottom fish with it. I would want to spool it with about 200ft of 25lb fluorocarbon and use spectra as a backing. I am open to suggestions and would like to purchase sometime next week.
Can you use an email service that doesn't use Outlook? I used Yahoo with my communications with Charkbait. Yahoo, G-mail, Hotmail all use a website for email instead of MS Outlook.
