Well, I have to brag a bit. Today is my 33rd anniversary. After my first ever LR (5 day) trip back in early August, my wife asked me to give her a list of things I wanted before my 2nd trip next year. This year I went armed only with a 40# and a 60# outfit.

So I put together a list that included a 30# outfit and another 40# outfit. My 30 was to include either a Saltist 30 or an Avet MX reel. Chark was running a special on the MX's and I said I was leaning that way. I didn't really care as I figured either the Saltist30 or the MX would be fine. I figured I would get a reel for my anniversary and a rod for Christmas and maybe the other outfit from my grown kids.

Well today, I was expecting either of the two reels but to my surprise, she stepped up and got me a MXL 2 speed and a Seeker Blacksteel 670!!!. Unfortunately, the rod showed up with a broken tip but I am sure Beth/Chark will correct that. WHAT A WIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy anniversary! I'm assuming your wife is Ann? She has been very cool to work with! Hold on to that one!!! :-) We've already got UPS going on it and we'll get a new rod out to you. So you get a 2nd anniversary kind of when it shows up!

Beth, if we haven't killed each other after 33 years, I suspect we will make it. I am amazingly lucky. Both of our kids have moved out of the house and she doesn't complain too much about my new found fishing habit even though it means I have to travel from TN to SD to get my fix.

Way to go bro on 33 years of marriage.kathy and i have endured our share of maritial challanges but after 37 years life is still great. She even letting me leave Christmas day on a 10 day Shogun trip.

You can say what you want but I gots the best. After 39 years of putting up with me she still lets me go fishing. The only thing is, now that the me two boys is married off she's at the rail with me. In fact she spends more time on the rail than I do. I guess you could say she takes me fishing, with her.

Beth, any idea when the replacement rod will be shipped?????

I think Tom already took care of that one, but we'll double check Monday when everyone is back at the warehouse. Sorry about the apes at UPS, but not to worry. We'll get things taken care of. And, yes you do have a fantastic wife! You caught a keeper.
