polaris supreme is a good boat, heard alot of good stuff about it, enjoy the trip out yonnders, becareful from the tax collector, especially around tuna alley. if you dropperloop at the bottom of the 360 mark south/east of the lupe, and you pulled up a calstar 765xl custom wrapped, w/a accurate 665, the name of the pole is written onit ( DEEPBLUE ). WELL EVERYONE HERE HOW THE STORY WENT,,.
IT WAS LATE SEPT , ON THE BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR CHARTERS, WE HEADED OUT TO THE LUPE FOR A 5 DAY ADVENTURE, ON ARE WAY DOWN WE HAD REPORTS OF A HURRICANE MIGHT BE PASSIN THROUGH THE LUPE, ON THE FIRST DAY OF ARRIVAL WE FULL THROTTLED IN TO A SAFE HOLE , AND ANCHORED FOR 2 DAYS , AS OTHER BOATS TOOK OFF TO CEDROS AND ELSEWERE, WE WAITED IT OUT. SO ON THE 2ND MORNING AFTER THE HURRICANE PAST, IT WAS ABOUT 3OR4 AM WHEN I HEARD A BOIL,BOIL,BOIL, AT A STERN, HAVNT SLEPT IN 2 DAYS DO TO THE BOUNCING AND CHOPPING OF THE HURRICANE, I RAN UP THE STAIRS , FORGOT TO PUT MY BOOTS ON, RAN TO THE RACK TO PICK UP MY BRAND NEW , CUSTOM ROD AND REEL, WITH MY EYES HALF SHUT, BLOWN UP WITH EXCITMENT, GRABED A SLIPPERY SCAD FROM THE TANK, NOSED HOOKED IT , DID NOT WIPE THE SLIM OFF MY HAND, DO TO THE ADRINEALIN RUSH TO GET THE BAIT OUT AS QUIK AS POSSIBLBE, THE POLE SLIPPED OUT OF MY HAND AFTER THE FIRST CAST. SO I CRYIED FOR A GAFF TO SAVE IT, GAFFFER CAME RUNNIN OUT OF NOWERE, THREW THE GAFF WITH IT , JUST KIDDN, HE TRYIED TO SAVE THE ROD WHILE IT STILL VISABLE TO EYE, IM HESITATING ON WHETHER TO JUMP FOR IT OR NOT, HISITATED ABOUT THE WHITES IN THE AREA , SO I DID NOT JUMP. OFFERD THE DECK HAND A BIG REWARD, IF HE GETS IT, HE SPENT ABOUT A HALF DAY, TRYING TO RECOVER IT. BUT NO LUCK.REWARDED HIMFOR HIS TIME.GOOD FELLOW FOR TRYIN.HOW AFTER ALL THAT, IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO GET OVER IT. IT WAS SO NEW THE GLUE HADNT DRIED YET. OH WELL , I THINK ABOUT IT ONCE IN A WHILE , MY THERAPIST SAYS ILL GET OVER IT WITH IN TIME.I HAVE A NEW BORN CHILD NOW IT A KENCOR CANDY CANE WRAP,20-50 LB OUTFIT PICK UP THE NEW ACCURATE 2 SPEED 870, PERFECT MATCHING SETUP, I NAMED UM DEEP BLUE 2.

I CAN TELL YOU ANOTHER STORY ABOUT , HOW WE HAD AROUND 6 OR 7 WHITE AROUND THE BOAT AND NO ONE THREW THERE BAIT OUT.

Deep Blue 2, That was too much. Got to admit Louie, it takes a MAN to confess to that screw up. Most of us would keep that little escapade a family secret. I figured out why the deckie could not find your set up. Your scad got bit by a 60 lb'er and he hauled you rig out to sea.

My oldest Brother did the same thing with one of my top tournament rigs at Casitas.

We were all being a bunch of lame ducks, when he turned and open palm casted a beautiful rig into the deep. I was hysterical with Laughter. Just busting a serious gut.

He looks at me, really puzzled and said, " What are you laughing at stupid, that was yer pole?"
I stopped for a minute, looked over the edge of the boat, and began laughing even harder.
Why? Because I had one of his absolute stupidest moments, live, with my gear. He could never live it daown and hasn't in 20 plus years.
I just chalked it up to 3 Brothers, out of control.
Never got my replacement rod/reel from the dork either.

I came two fingers and a thumb away from doing the same thing at Tanner Bank. Caught my heart in my throat that time! Brand new Calstar custom GF 700M 20-50# and Penn 9500SS spinner.
"We'll just put you back in the rack!", I said as one eyewitness did the doubletake, "Geeez" right along with me!!!!
