As the water temps rise - so will the posts.

I'm predicting a BIG seabass bite in May...

After a month of fishing in Venice, LA I've got lots of backlogged work to do and not much time to do it, halibut season starts the first of April.

I'm guilty too. With the new warehouse, splitting time between places and Little League with the kidlet I've been a scattered soul. But, we've made a couple good hires, one more to go, and I'll have some time to do something useful...go fish'n.

Sorry. I have been in the mountains Guiding my clients for the last 3 weeks. I will be going back home to Missouri on Monday finally.

Sunday we took 2 pigs for a combined weight of just under 1000 pounds.

When I get the photo's back, I'll post them.

1 Pig was 350 pounds and the other was over 600 pounds. Tremendous hunting. These are real and mean hogs.

We went 5 for 9 tags. A great success for rain, 30 mph winds and down right snotty conditions.

I am whupped and ready for some rest.

I'm trying to get my boat ready.

The ramps open May 1st here in NE, and I'm 2 weeks behind schedule.

I get back to you.

Night school on monday/wednesday throughout the spring semester, working tue-sat, church on sunday, fish when I have time & gas money!

OK, late report, Sunset Aquatic, 24 March 2007. I went out with a friend from the fellowship I belong to, for a nice boat ride. Caught a couple Lizardfish, some mini Mackeral, a few White Croaker and one short Sand Bass.

Since then, I have been going at the boat work with a will. I replaced a cracked transducer mount. I had the fuel sender changed out. I replaced an 8" round deck plate with an 8" x 12" rectangular plate, better access for two handed work! I replaced the seawater strainer/through-hull and seacock, then I rerouted plumbing through existing bait pump to after market bait tank, awaiting sea trial.

I have yet to replace my fish box drain pump and I have a new house battery system to design and build to accomodate the new Furuno FF and other existing electronics.

All in good time.

I put my name in today for my friends october 5 day trip. Anyone know of a good tackle shop that can help me get ready?

The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and a good report makes the bones healthy.
