Someone found this pic on the internet and sent it to me, and it is claimed to be a piranha. Didn't know they came this big, if that is what it is. Was no information provided with the pic, nor do I know where the pic was posted...
I believe it is actually a Great Tigerfish, not the more common Tigerfish. The great ones are found only in some lakes and rivers in Central Africa; I believe the smaller Tigers are found all over Africa. I caught several small Tigers in Lake Nassar, the dammed up portion of the Nile Rive last fall while I was fishing for Nile Perch.
