Our first charter ofthe season heads out in a weeks time. There are still some spots available, so if you're thinking of a great way to spend three days time over next weekend - book your trip NOW. Please contact the landing directly to hold your spot. The price is right at $460. Should be a dandy time. Shogun # (619)226-8030

Given the new baby at home, my wife isn't too keen on me slipping away now. Tom from our staff will be aboard the boat this trip. He's a helpful guy, don't be afraid to ask for any rigging help you may need.

Additionally, if anyone is interested in carpooling, please make a post here.

Great Stuff!

Hey Mark,

I'm hesding out on the Shogun 3 day. I'm taking the train from Santa Barbara to San Diego.
I,m at the limit for my luggage on the train, 2 stowed bags,1 carry on....
My question...How to get the fish home?
I plan to make use of the Fillet and Package service at the Marina. Do you know if they will ship the fish to SB?
any info would be appreciated

The trip was good, it would have been great, if the yellow tail would have shown up. The water temp was 60 degrees, 65 should have brought the YT.
Captain Norm worked really hard to put us on fish, we got into some nice Calicos, a few big Vermillions, but the surprize was the Bonita, several 10+, one that was probably 15.
The food was great, the weather was So-So, windy and pretty cool. A great bunch of guys on board.
I think everyone was very happy with the trip. I know I'll be going back to fish the Shogun.

Yeikes! I got sidetracked this week with a couple important people out. Sorry for not getting some pictures up earlier!

Tom, our shipping and warehouse manager went on the boat this time. He's an avid inshore guy, loves bass'n. So, I know he looked forward to the style of fishing that was hoped for on this trip. The big bass didn't happen, but some nice ones were caught and released. Good sheepshead fishing on the trip and some larger grade bonito. The yellowtail did pop up briefly, but not by the boat. That was all they saw of 'em. No white seabass either. Saturday had some good conditions, but Sunday was downright cold.

Here are a few pictures...
