hello every one, thought id share this story with fellow fishermen. went out last night around 5:00 pm to arrive at the local fishin pond, on arrival ive notice the cleanest /clear water so far to this date . as i walked down the shore line ,ive noticed all the hatchling of babys (bass) swiming everywere. there are so many mamas protecting the babys from the predators of the lurking deep, i was surprise to se in live action( a mammoth of the deep lurking under the lilly pads ) chasing the babys as the mom trying so hard to protect her young fingerlings, sadly to say, mom was under gunned by this under water dark predator by many pounds. not many survived from this damaging act of survival, so ive some what managed to see the size of its head, when the sunset hit it just right to get a glimps of this monster of the deep.ive notice the scar on it right side of the head, it turned out to be the same (est) 12-14 pounder ive been trying to catch for 2 years know.this story is only the beginng of my long night at the bass lake, so ill keep it short , it was an instant hookup on every toss.all in the 2 to 5 pound range.let me put it this way, throw a cigarette butt at them and they,ll hit it, going back out again on saturday, wish me luck on that lurking in the deep bastard.
try fishing with the largest crank bait you have...a musky size bait will allow the small bass a second or two to look at it while it drops down to your monster zone.
threw everything at this monster, such as rapalas,12 slugs,9 in worms, optimum, swimbaits, etc. my feeling is , if i was to catch a small bluegill and insert a big hook on its back , that might do the trick.
YUP! Kaboom. I promise ya, if the Game warden shows up, then he wants to write ya a ticket.... light a new one, hand it to the warden....you'll be amazed at how fast, the warden will toss his in and begin fishing as well.
