What's up with ProGear? There website is down, there phone number listed is a fax number. They don't respond to their email.

Rumor has it that they are going out of business. Can anyone verify this?

Yeah, I would like to know this info. I wanted to get some albacore specials about the time the decided to stop making them, then I heard they were coming out with new star models and then blam, everything is a dead end.

My confidence level is NOT high with this manufacturer. They have moved. They appear to be in some financial straights, and they have not kept up with competition (eg. Avet, Accurate, Penn...). The Oceanus was much anticipated, then suffered a setback with a recall. Beyond this, I don't know much. I was told that we may see some reels manufactured (Oceanus) in about a month's time.

Oh wait, never mind. I thought I was on a hunt. That's my answer to everything bad. Just shoot em.

Well, that's too bad. The Albacore Specials were/are great reels.
