I need input from each and every person.

If a NEW Hotel came into town, that was a major award winner in it's category every single year for the last 7 years by J.D. Powers and Associates.

- - - - - - PRESS RELEASE - - - - - - -

ST. LOUIS – July 24, 2007 – J.D. Power and Associates announced today that Drury Inn & Suites has been recognized with the award for "Highest in Guest Satisfaction Among Mid-Scale Hotels Chains with Limited Service." This is the second year in a row that Drury Inn & Suites has received this award. Click here for the J.D. Power and Associates press release, including rankings for all hotel brands.

http://www.druryhotels.com/

Now what they offer is the lowest rates, cleanest rooms, best service, staff, Free Quick Start Breakfast, ( eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, syrup, toast, bisquits and gravy , coffee, juices and milk ) high speed wireless and free long distance calls.

Now, if this hotel was to come into San Diego, within 3 miles of the landing, offering parking for a fee, which is more secure than the landings, airport pick up, shuttles to the landings, oh and they also have free cocktail hours each evening. FREE drinks!

Would you all consider staying there????

I am coming to town in 3 weeks to look for a location and need every single persons in put. I am working with the Owner of the Chain personally.

Thanks for everyones participation as I am also trying to sell this to the boats and the landings as packages once we come into San Diego.

OH YEA! Kids 18 and younger stay FREE.

I have a total of one trip under my belt. I flew in from Memphis, TN and took a cab to the Vagabond. Once there I walked over to the landing to pick up my gear that was shipped, then carried it back to the Hotel to make sure everything got there in tact. Then the next morning, I had to carry it back over to the landing. IF the hotel had a shuttle to the landing, I would certainly consider staying there.

First off Drury Inn is a top notch chain from my past expereance. Beng a central Missourian myself. The idea is sound. Yo might want to do some leg work and vsit the local landings and boats to try to work out some package eals. Also have those fishermen that spend 3 or more days at the Inn have there parking fees waived or gve a discount say 50%. The shuttle is a good idea to the landing even a 1 or 2 dollar fee I could live with beats walking. Give a rate cut for those that get off the boat and stay 1 night like 10%. And above all get the word out about any deals these small things will produce great results. Safe parking, good rooms, alittle savings on rooms, shttle to and from landings and airport, and an understanding of the long range fishing. Work with the boats to give best customer service possable.

Pigsticker,

I am a road warrior of the finest order. I am a Hilton property mega stayer and prefer hampton Inns for no other reason than they are consistent, have a location in each city I travle to and always take care of any of my business needs.

If Drury Inn has the same levele of committment as the Hampton Inn and Hilton properties then They would do very well if land is available within 3 or 4 blocks of the landing.

The Dolphin Inn can be had for a price and its 100 yards from the boats. I know this because I asked the owner during my overnight stay. His business is worth more for the land vs for the business operation.

Good luck and I wish I had a few million to do a deal there myself, ah heck I would by a Long Range boat instead.

The Drury Inns beat out Hampton and Hilton in the J.D.Powerrs awards.

We'll see when I get there about the location. I am trying to locate downtown by the cruise lines. However, there may be a deal in making about shuttle service to the boats for the fishermen. It is a very important service to me as a fisherman myself.

Secure long term parking at a "fair" price.
Shuttle to Dock
Quiet rooms
Coffee

I'd like to suggest a secure place for people to park and sleep in their truck but I don't think that will fly.

I am with ewe onm that one Keta. I usually drive to San Diego from Missouri, sleeping in my truck along the way.

I just can't get over how scuzzy the landing's parking lot is whit human seagulls. Aint safe there. Ya would think that with the ten's of thousands of dollars we spend at the landing via PARKING!, boats, clothes, permits, tackle, etc. Frank would have his ass loosened up just a wee bit and provide security.

NOPE! To bad if we're robbed or our vehicles are broken into.

The Hotel, if we get one there, will offer shuttle service, free long distance( 60 ) minutes, Free hot breakfast, free high speed wireless, kids 18 and under stay free.

OH AND THE BEST! Free cocktails ( limited ), beer and wine between 5:30 and 7 p.m. nightly.

Who else does that? NONE of the dives across from the landing.

Keep yer fingers crossed on me expedition.
