It looks like the " Cow Pasture " is begining to kick out better numbers and faster as the boats first arrive on the scene.
The weather also appears to be far better than it was last Dec. The Intrepid slid in yesterday and nailed 7 cows and 5 super cows to begin their trip.
Other boats like the Royal Star and hammering the Cows as well. The Star has the " Double Whammy " going right now andc the passengers are definately paying the price with awesome catches and extremely sore arms.
Both Randy and Tim are at the helm and the first day on the grounds, they drifted all day and had to establish a 100 pound cut off limit!!!
So for those of you going the day after Christmas, I will be seriously jealous of you all. Best of luck and tight lines for everyone.
I am about to make a most serious mistake but I am going to say that this season will see the first 400 # yellow Fin Tuna decked by a San Diego Long Range MV.
Out west we call muy grande critters "Hogs" we are certainly in the "Hog" definition now for the LR fleet.
May all of my friends here enjoy a blessed Christmas and a very prosperous New Year!
I am with ewe SD Tuna. I was raised a left coaster and all the Major sized fishies were a called " HAWGS " I do believe that a 400 pounder is imminent.
I eat the fish, that's a known fact. Giving them a sexual idenity, well, I'll leave that up to you SO.CAL. scientists , Just wear a plastic glove, like the kind that you use to put gasoline into your S.U.V. with. and don't look too long please...
