I am dying to know what is going on in the lower zones right now. Eight boats have been out now for 4 days and not one report.

This very day last year, we were tearing apart the cows in a wide open afternoon into the evening bite...

I was thinking the same thing Pigsticker. Normally when there's no reports it means slow fishing. They all love to post when it's good.

I hope it get's good in the next 10 days as I'll be leaving on the AA this coming Saturday. Yea baby!!!!!

FINALLY! I found a report from the lower zones posted by the Intrepid as NO OTHER boats will post. What's this all mean? s l o o o o w w w w
fishing. That's what happens when the area clears out for a week. They'll find them just in time for Hogghunter's trip.

Sun. Dec. 30, 2007: We don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but we want to keep you updated on our fishing success. Fishing is very slow at least for us right now. We are moving South tonight in search of warmer water. We still have alot of time and our hopes are high. Reports will be up daily so check back tomorrow.

PS, it's getting really thin. I just checked and there's still not a single report other than the one by the Intrepid. That can only mean one thing and that's slllllllllllooooooowwwww. I sure hope they find them quickly.
I've been watching the SST's and the warmer water is certainly further south than it was but not much. Just before Xmas the Rooster, Excel and Polaris were doing very well south of Thetis and that seems to be where the warm water still exists.
My fingers and toes are all crossed at this point.

What ever the case may be.

I find it extremely hysterical that the Royal Star has gone quiet. Especially after Tim's report on how he and Randy are the only 2 that can get and find fish, their crew is the best in the business, and they don't need all the newest buzzers and bells to be in the top spots.

Make no mistake about it. THose two Capt. are fantastic. I just find this bout of " Tanking " on the heels of their boasting to be well deserved.

The fleet will find the fish again.

Hoghunter if ya look back at the reports from last years trips at this sametime, we were painfully slow as well.

Then the next trip out hammered the Tuna andddddddd the wahoo. You'll do fine.

PS, I'm thinking positive about the trip. Fishing has always been an up and down cycle.

The Indy finally posted a report and say's the weather has been bad and the fish few and smaller. I'm with you , I think they will find the fish. My guess is they're farther south in the warmer water than they were a couple weeks ago.

I am sending money in on the 4 day Chark charter in Sept. this week.

It's the only trip I will be able to make this year since Wifezilla and I are going to Australia for 4 weeks in Feb. 2009.

Gotta save the money. am also waiting for the 2009 schedule for the Intrepid. Carol says they might be doing some 14 dayers or longer. Now that's for me.

The Intrepid got into the wahoo yesterday which is better than last years trip at the same time.
