Just got back from our May charter aboard the Eclipse. Great group of folks aboard, and as always the crew of the Eclipse did a wonderful job. Top notch crew on the boat, and with Mark driving the boat we always seem to find something to pull line off our reels. This year we did find the early season tuna. Most surprisingly we scored what I think to be the first yellowfin of the year. Both bluefin and yellowfin were boated, only 3 yellowfin off a temp break at 120-130 milles, with the bigger bluefin school at closer to 150. A few yellowtail off kelp, not much kelp to work further out, more of that closer in like 50-100 miles.
