Captain |
There have been a few hardy souls here in Eureka that braved the lump and did quite well on the bottom fish and the lings.
Both the Cape and Trinidad areas are sure bets for bottom dwellers, just be sure to check the weather as this time of year can hold some nasty surprises for the unwary. Elsewhere there are still some Albacore being caught south of us, if you happen to be on the right spot at the right time it can be quite productive for fish up to 30#. If you miss the spot or the right time...Well you know the drill. Just an addendum... It appears that the guys down Monterey way are into the Albacore pretty good from some of the reports posted on other boards. This message has been edited. Jan,
Retired 2002. Thought I would get to fish more than on weekends, nots so. Did get to fish this summer out of Eureka for Pacific Halibut on the SeaWeasel and my buddy got one that was close to 80#. Dave This message has been edited. Last edited by: Grambo, NE OUBLIE-DON'T FORGET |
