It's been an interesting year up here with no salmon, we've had to do with halibut, California and Pacific, rockfish and Lings.
Good bay bite on Calif butts, lots of shorties but if you were persistant you could get legals. I like them a little bigger so I went outside and fished at 240 feet and got this little Pacific type. It wasn't huge, only weighed in at 30# but it sure was good eating. now I need to get back out there and hit it again. This message has been edited.
